Business Nation Features eBay Stolen Merchandise

If you happened to catch the premier of Business Nation last night on CNBC I bet the Stolen Merchandise on eBay caught your attention!

If you’re selling on eBay have you ever wondered why some people are selling things like LCD TV’s and Computers for so cheap you think they stole it? If you have you were probably right.

According to some ex-thieves some of them sold tens of thousands of stolen items on eBay over the last few years. Tv’s. Air Conditioners, Refridgerators, Generators, Expensive construction tools, you name it, if it can be stolen it has probably been sold on eBay before.

Home Depot is one of the largest businesses targeted by thieves for products to be resold on eBay. They constantly are finding products listen on eBay for less then their cost so there’s no question something brand new being sold for less then the retailer gets it for you can bet it’s stolen.

eBay says it’s the retailers problem to not let theft happen in the first place. So should eBay be held accountable for stolen merchandise being sold through their auction system?
