Are you focused on your Business?
Last week I wrote an article called “The Diversification Myth” which talked about how you’re basically being lied to by people telling you to make money by starting 1,000,000 websites that make $1 a day (Multiple-streams of income).
That’s NOT building a business.
If you were to start a brick and mortar business would you start 100 of them and try to make a few bucks at each one? No, but online it’s so easy to do just that. Unfortunately as you learn business just doesn’t work that way.
Yes, you can have 100 websites in the same market that is fine, they should all have a common goal and work together(you won’t however need or want this). What you should not do is have 100 websites in 100 markets or even 10 markets.
Ok anyway, lets get to what I wanted to talk about. FOCUS. It’s so easy to get distracted today with so much information available on the Internet. One second you’re researching something and the next you can’t remember what you were looking for because you found another site about another hobby you have.
So you need to stay focused.
I found for myself a great way is to create a list of things I need to get done for the next day or week. A to-do list per say.
Not just adding things like articles I need created, updates to sites or advertising renewal however anytime an idea pops into my head about anything related to my business I simply add these to my list and organize them into importance and simply cross them out or delete them when I’m done.
I was never one who liked creating to-do lists but they do work and keep you on track.
Something I will get to in a future article is your role in your business. You need to define all roles in your business. Defining roles makes creating lists of things that need to get done easier, assignable and will increase your income.
anytime basically brick and mortar brick and mortar business common goal diversification multiple streams of income my head researching stay focused streams of income things i need to do list
