Using The Adwords Content Network To Your Advantage
If you use Google Adwords to advertise your product or service and aren’t fully utilizing the Content network you might be throwing away some potential profits.
If you don’t have your ads displayed on the Content Network then login to your adwords account, click on the campaign then click on “Edit Campaign Settings.”
On the right hand side you’ll see “Content Network” and right below that…
“Content Bids
Let me set separate prices for content clicks”
Make sure the Content Bids box is checked. This will allow you to set a bid value to the ads that are displayed on the Content Network.
You might be surprised how low you can go on the content network as far as bids compared to the Search results.
Your conversions will be lower but the cost will also be dramatically lower. If you’re capturing Email addresses this is a great way to get more leads.
Also, if you aren’t using or haven’t tested “Site Targeted” ads you will want to try that. The Site targeted ads let you choose which sites you want to show your ad on and the amount you will pay for your ad to be displayed 1,000 times on those sites.
The next time you’re surfing and see Adsense ads on a site that is a good match to your product or service write it down and add it to your targeted sites ads.
Targeted Sites ads work best when you have proven your Ad to get a high clickthrough. If your Adwords ads on the search network are getting 4% or more clickthrough then the Targeted Sites might save you some money.
