Don’t Spam The Search Engines
I want to tell you something from my experience with Search Engine Spamming.
At one point I had 125 active websites. This was around the time that Traffic Equalizer, Ranking Power, and the “Smart Pages” were very popular.
I’m pretty lazy to start with so I started using these (basically spam/doorway pages) programs to make web pages. Now out of those 125 I had at LEAST 2k-4k auto generated pages on A LOT of them (about 40 or so).
So I had about 100K pages and I was making money hand over fist with absolutely no work other then uploading the auto generated documents.
I had even modified the templates and such so they weren’t the default pages. Then, and this was a huge mistake, don’t do this. I linked A LOT of these sites together so they’d all get spidered.
Long story short, I ended up with 40 domains blacklisted from Google, Yahoo and MSN.
Actually, some of the pages were still in Yahoo and showing results but I have since deleted them all.
I share this story with you for 2 reasons.
1. To show I make mistakes and we all live and move on
2. To remind you “easy money” doesn’t last. If you find a way that seems too easy to make money, it probably is and won’t last. If you’re doing things like that you’re not building a business, you’re building easy money makers that will eventually backfire.
